The St Philip and St Clare Knights of Columbus held their seventh annual Charity Raffle draw on Sunday, February 25, 2024 at the Father Michael Gillissie Parish Hall in Richmond.
This year’s prizes featured a $1,500 gift certificate to Dala Décor (donated by Dala Décor and Ryan O’Connor), a two-night chalet stay at Mont Tremblant (donated by Theresa Kelly & Steve da Costa), a Dewalt leaf blower/weed eater (donated by Flynn Landscaping) and a $100 gift certificate to Danby’s Roadhouse (donated by Danby’s).
The winners of this year’s prizes are:
- Gift Certificate to Dala Decor: Joanna MacDougall
- Chalet Stay at Mont Tremblant: Vincent O’Connor
- Dewalt leaf blower/weed eater: Nicolas Billette
- Danby’s Roadhouse gift certificate: Jennifer Rusch
The beneficiaries of this year’s Charity Raffle are the Richmond Food Bank, St. Philip Parish and St. Clare Mission.
Michelle McIver from the Richmond Food Bank was on hand at the draw to receive a cheque for $3,750. The St. Philip and St. Clare Knights of Columbus are regular supporters of our local food bank who provide an incredible service to our growing community.
In addition, Fr. Bob Poole, pastor of St. Philip Parish was presented with a cheque for $2,812.50. Fr. Bob was also presented with a cheque for $937.50 for St. Clare Mission.
The Knights wish to extend their appreciation to everyone who purchased a ticket. A special thank you to King’s Independent Grocer of Richmond for allowing the Knights to seek tickets at their store on Saturday, February 10, 2024 (when $1,500 was raised).
Since the inaugural draw in 2018, the St. Philip and St. Clare Knights of Columbus Charity Raffle has raised and donated over $47,000 for the Richmond Food Bank, the churches, and other local community organizations.
